Joan Pez

Joan is the founder and sole proprietor of TWEET Records. Although, Joan seldom works alone and often collaborates on projects with fellow producers, engineers, and sister studios.  Joan's two main passions in life are music and community.  She has been writing songs, singing and playing guitar almost since she was born.  Her professional career also includes working as a psychotherapist.  These skills come in handy in understanding, supporting and nurturing the individual artists that she works with.  Joan hosts the Open Mic night every Tuesday at the Starry Plough in Berkeley, CA.  She enjoys working with musicians of every genre and age group.  Recently, Joan was executive producer for the melodic group Song Preservation Society's new album, Ready Room.  She is working with several local artists in the genres of hip hop, techno, rock and folk.
